Bring science to life with LEGO® WeDo robotics! Students will team up in pairs to build and program LEGO® models using WeDo kits and Scratch© software. Through hands-on projects, they'll learn programming basics, engineering concepts, and the functions of a robot components. Each class combines building, coding, and problem-solving as students create working machines in a fun, collaborative setting. This camp is a great introduction to robotics and STEM for young learners.

Power up your creativity with a week of Nintendo-inspired STEAM fun! Jump into a week of Nintendo-themed fun where technology and creativity collide! Students will begin by creating stop-motion movies starring Mario and friends, learning how to plan, animate, and edit their own short films. As the week continues, they'll shift into coding, building Nintendo-inspired games such as maze challenges, coin-catching adventures, and drawing with Pikachu. Each day introduces a new hands-on project that blends coding, animation, and storytelling while encouraging creativity and problem-solving. Basic reading skills are recommended. This brief yet impactful experience aims to familiarize children with the school to help a smooth transition into kindergarten. Gleason Lake teachers lead Jumpstart to K, and while the teacher your Rising K student meets for this program may not be their classroom teacher for Kindergarten, they will be another familiar, friendly face during the transition. This program is designed to be interactive and fun. Throughout the morning or afternoon, your Rising K student will engage in a series of interactive activities and guided experiences aimed at building confidence and enthusiasm for the kindergarten classroom. From a brief introduction to school rules and routines to navigating common areas such as the classroom, cafeteria, and playground, students will gain an understanding of what to expect in their new school environment. Jumpstart to K allows children another opportunity in their future school in a supportive and nurturing environment for this exciting milestone. Please note that Jumpstart to K is a drop-off program. Students who will be attending Gleason Lake for Kindergarten will be given priority. Please register for only one session.

The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
