Little Linguists: Fall Spanish Foundations

This introductory Spanish course is customized for elementary school students who are beginning their language journey. No prior experience is required. Structured as an 8-session seasonal block, the program uses targeted vocabulary and active, practical exercises to develop basic communication skills from day one.

Course Content Summary
This course introduces students to foundational vocabulary and basic conversational tools across seven engaging sessions. Students begin by practicing essential greetings and sketching two people meeting. They then transition to exploring colors like red, yellow, green, and orange, and writing numbers 1 through 10 using drawn shapes or fruits to connect digits with visual quantities. As the term progresses, lessons focus on labeling everyday classroom objects, describing favorite animals, and naming a variety of healthy fruits. In the final instructional week, students practice identifying and drawing their immediate family members, including parents and grandparents.

Final Project
"Mi primer libro en español" (My First Spanish Book): In the eighth session, students synthesize what they have learned over the term. They will design a creative mini-book featuring ten vocabulary words they mastered, paired with original illustrations.
