In this progressive program, children and caregivers attend together twice a week through November, engaging in playful learning activities that foster development and strengthen bonds. From December through June children transition to attending on their own, promoting independence and confidence as they explore new experiences with the support of our skilled educators. NewThe Art of Carnitas & Homemade TortillasFood & DrinkCrispy, golden-edged carnitas with juicy, melt-in-your-mouth centers… this is what taco dreams are made of. Join this chef-led, hands-on cook-along and create a full-flavored from scratch carnita feast in your own kitchen. You will learn to create tender, flavorful carnitas using an electric multi-cooker and learn the essential techniques and ingredients that make this mouthwatering melt-in-your-mouth dish, so delicious. From there, you’ll learn how to make both soft flour tortillas, and traditional corn tortillas from scratch, gaining confidence in working with different types of dough. To complete the experience, we’ll prepare quick-pickled red onions that add the perfect bright, tangy contrast that brings everything together into the perfect bite. On the menu: Multi-cooker Carnitas, handcrafted flour tortillas, handcrafted corn tortillas, and quick-pickled red onions. Equipment Needs: Electric Multi-cooker (any brand), non-stick pan, stand-mixer with paddle & dough hook attachments (optional). Tortilla press is optional. While cooking-along is loads of fun, and highly recommended, it is optional. This class will take place on Zoom, free online software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. A list of ingredients and class details will be received in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and preparation. The Instructor’s Personal Recipe from this class will be included in a professionally made PDF packet to be received by participants after the class. NOTE: The instructor’s recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun! Note: One registration fee for this online virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home ONLY. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. If friends, adult children, or extended family members are gathering for a fun night together, EACH household must register SEPARATELY even if participating together. Track & Field CampSports and FitnessDASH Sports Summer Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: sprinting, throwing (javelin and shot put), relay running, long jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. All players will be timed/tested on the first and last day.
