Learn how to fish with a professional angler. Dan Jasper, a fishing professional, has created Fish Camp!, an interactive day camp, where kids learn how to fish and then go fishing. On day one, kids receive their very own rod, reel and tackle box full of gear. Kids learn how to rig their lines, cast, tie fishing knots, identify fish and more. On days two and three, kids fish from shore and practice what they learned using their own fishing gear, while catching fish. This camp is designed to help kids learn how to fish and gives them the tools to fish for a lifetime! Day one will be at Central Middle School. Jumpstart to K is an engaging introduction to your Rising Kindergartener's future elementary school. This brief yet impactful experience aims to familiarize children with the school to help a smooth transition into kindergarten. Sunset Hill teachers lead Jumpstart to K, and while the teacher your Rising K student meets for this program may not be their classroom teacher for Kindergarten, they will be another familiar, friendly face during the transition. This program is designed to be interactive and fun. Throughout the morning or afternoon, your Rising K student will engage in a series of interactive activities and guided experiences aimed at building confidence and enthusiasm for the kindergarten classroom. From a brief introduction to school rules and routines to navigating common areas such as the classroom, cafeteria, and playground, students will gain an understanding of what to expect in their new school environment. Jumpstart to K allows children another opportunity in their future school in a supportive and nurturing environment for this exciting milestone. Please note that Jumpstart to K is a drop-off program. Students who will be attending Sunset Hill for Kindergarten will be given priority. Please register for only one session.

DASH Sports Summer T-ball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and a baseball glove. Baseballs and bats are provided.

From December through June children transition to attending on their own, promoting independence and confidence as they explore new experiences with the support of our skilled educators. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic clothing/shoes.

Introducing young athletes to a sport rich in tradition and history, Skyhawks Track & Field combines technical technique development with safety and a major focus on fun. Athletes will learn several Olympic-style events such as the 50m Dash, 100m Dash, 4X1 Relay, Long Jump, Standing Broad Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discus. Each athlete will get their times and throws recorded each day so they can track their improvement throughout the program. We teach sport-specific fundamentals along with footspeed, jumping, flexibility, range of motion, coordination, endurance, and self-esteem.
