Archery Summer CampSports and FitnessThis archery program will accommodate any and all archers regardless of experience, beginners are welcome and highly encouraged to attend. The National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) curriculum will be used to learn archery from the ground up. Base Games CampSports and FitnessThis active and engaging camp introduces children to a variety of baseball-style and playground running games. Students will enjoy T-ball hitting practice, throwing and catching fundamentals, fielding drills, base-running challenges, and kid-friendly kickball games. Campers also participate in running relays, throwing accuracy activities, and Home-Run style challenges that help build confidence, coordination, and teamwork. Baseball CampSports and FitnessDASH Sports Summer Baseball camp provides players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and a baseball glove (spikes and bats are optional). Elementary Track & FieldSports and FitnessThe Wayzata High School Track and Field Coaches are offering track meet events for boys and girls ages 5-12. Students will be divided by age group, with the youngest age groups starting first. Ribbons will be awarded to the first six placers in each race. Participants need to bring running shoes and a water bottle. All participants registered by June 1st will receive a track t-shirt on the first day of the meet. Events will be coordinated by WHS Track and Field Coaches and volunteer high school track students. For information on weather cancellations visit www.wayzatatrack.org. We are unable to offer a rain date. Refunds cannot be given for cancelled classes due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
