Camp FUNdamentals Mini ProgramSpecial InterestsCurious about what Camp FUNdamentals is like in the summer? Join us for a one-day, two-hour Camp FUNdamentals Mini Program designed to give children with varying abilities and their caregivers a meaningful taste of our nature-based occupational therapy approach. This short, low-pressure experience invites families to explore how play, movement, and time in nature can support regulation, connection, and confidence. Children will engage in guided activities that mirror our summer camp experience—sensory-rich outdoor play, cooperative games, creative challenges, and opportunities to build independence and problem-solving skills in a supportive, nature-based environment. Caregivers are welcome to observe and participate alongside their child while gaining insight into how Camp FUNdamentals supports skill development through play. Families will leave with a better understanding of our philosophy, practical strategies to try at home, and clarity on whether our summer programs are a good fit. Let's Go with Traditions and Celebrations - in SPANISH!Special InterestsCelebrate the seasons in Spanish with Vamos con las Tradiciones y Celebraciones. Through songs, games, and festive cultural traditions, students build Spanish vocabulary and gain confidence using simple conversations. Fall lessons explore fall and winter themes, while spring introduces spring and summer topics. Along the way, students discover celebrations from Spanish-speaking cultures while practicing greetings, colors, weather, clothing, emotions, nature, and seasonal vocabulary. Little Linguists: Fall Spanish FoundationsSpecial InterestsThis introductory Spanish course is customized for elementary school students who are beginning their language journey. No prior experience is required. Structured as an 8-session seasonal block, the program uses targeted vocabulary and active, practical exercises to develop basic communication skills from day one. Course Content SummaryThis course introduces students to foundational vocabulary and basic conversational tools across seven engaging sessions. Students begin by practicing essential greetings and sketching two people meeting. They then transition to exploring colors like red, yellow, green, and orange, and writing numbers 1 through 10 using drawn shapes or fruits to connect digits with visual quantities. As the term progresses, lessons focus on labeling everyday classroom objects, describing favorite animals, and naming a variety of healthy fruits. In the final instructional week, students practice identifying and drawing their immediate family members, including parents and grandparents. Final Project"Mi primer libro en español" (My First Spanish Book): In the eighth session, students synthesize what they have learned over the term.
