Parenting with Vision - Navigating your Child’s Depression and Anxiety

This training will provide information about the interconnectedness and development of anxiety and depression symptoms during the teenage years. The presenters will address ways that parents can support their child, provide information about when to get professional help, and discuss pathways for navigating resources. We ask participants to come with questions! The trainers appreciate speaking directly to the questions that attendees may have.

The intended audience for this presentation is parents and guardians of students in grades 6 through 12.

This online training will take place on Zoom. Participants will receive the Zoom link in a confirmation email upon registering.

Greta provides psychotherapy for middle and high school students and their families in the School Linked Mental Health program. She approaches therapy with a client-centered and strengths-based approach to address each client’s individual needs. Greta believes that children and adolescents grow and develop identities through their relationships with others.

Relate Counseling Center - Ida Holdahl, MA, LPCC

Instructor

Ida provides individual, family, and group therapy. She believes in providing the client with a safe, non-judgmental environment to facilitate exploration during sessions. She operates from a systemic approach applying different techniques to meet individual and familial needs including cognitive-behavioral, strength-based, attachment focused, and play therapy.
