Participants will learn the responsibilities of being a prepared, safe, responsible, and professional babysitter. Topics include supervision, behavior guidance, proper bottle feeding/diapering techniques, personal and child safety, basic first aid, emergencies and fire safety. Dolls, bottles and diaper supplies are provided for hands-on participation. This class was developed by the Health and Safety Institute and is approved by the American Pediatrics Association. Participants receive a certification card and a downloadable handbook.

We will skip the complicated software installations and use professional-grade, browser-based tools to solve 'Katas' (coding challenges) that build critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Requirements: Students will need a computer with a web browser and a stable internet connection. School-issued Chromebooks are fully compatible. No prior coding experience is required.

In this fun and flavorful baking class, middle school students will explore the world of cookies from different cultures! They’ll learn to bake a variety of treats, including classic French cookies, spicy gingerbread, and delightful Scandinavian varieties. Throughout the class, students will practice key baking skills like measuring, mixing, and decorating while discovering unique flavors and techniques from around the world. By the end of the course, students will have a selection of delicious, homemade cookies to share with family and friends! To-go containers should be brought from home. This class runs until 6:00 PM. If your student needs to take the late bus, the instructor will send them home with the ingredients to finish baking at home.
