Stained Glass Open Studio provides time and space to work on your projects whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced worker. A facilitator is available for advice and support. Purchase an 8-session punch card and receive an area to store supplies, tools and your projects. Punch cards are valid for 12 months. Students can group order glass and supplies to save time and money. Supply fee will vary depending on choices. Create a beautiful stained glass window approximately 8” x 10” in size. This class is for both beginner and experienced stained glass participants! The copper foil technique will be taught from cutting to assembly. The first night focuses on choosing a pattern and discussing colors of glass, equipment and layout. The other sessions will focus on assembling your stained glass window. Glass and materials are purchased directly from the instructor at class - approximately $65. Tool kits are provided. Please bring safety glasses to use while cutting and grinding glass. This class includes one free Saturday morning Open Studio visit. Create a friendly bug or creature out of glass, lead, and wire. We will finish one or two free standing projects. All tools are provided. We will be using soldering irons. This class is a new idea with stained glass mosaic pieces! We use unique baroque glass that is textured, with bold swirls. We will design, cut glass, glue then grout at the second session. You will make a set of 4 coasters that are 4” x 4” tiles. All tools and materials are available at our glass studio. These tiles will be unique and one of a kind. Join us in creating stained glass wild woman suncatcher. We use large and small colorful nuggets, stained glass and lead came. Learn to use a soldering iron and cut glass. Copper foil sheets or lead came are used to make crazy hairdos. All tools and supplies are provided. You can also bring small beads, jewelry, earrings that dangle for the wild woman necklace or belt.
