We will go over what you need you get started, software to use, where to find records, how to keep track of everything, and how DNA testing fits in. You won’t need any special tools or software for this beginner’s class. I will be introducing concepts that can be applied wherever you end up doing your research. Ghoulish Stuffed Pastry & Pumpkin-Chocolate Chip Muffins—Halloween Family Fun!Food & DrinkFall is synonymous with Pumpkins, with Spice, harvest, and ghoulish family fun. In this interactive, real-time cook-along participants will create a playful and delicious Halloween-themed meal from scratch using the instructor’s personal recipes. We’ll start by preparing a savory seasoned meat filling, then use it to stuff and shape puff pastry into fun, ghoulish “coils” (intestines) before baking to golden perfection. To complete the experience, you’ll make a cranberry-based dipping sauce for a spooky (and tasty) finishing touch. For something sweet, participants will bake pumpkin-pumpkin-spice chocolate chip muffins—a cozy fall favorite that perfectly balances the savory side of the menu. Perfect for a night full of fun costume parties, trick-or-treating or get-togethers! This class will take place on Zoom, free online software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. A list of ingredients and class details will be received in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and preparation. The Instructor’s Personal Recipe from this class will be included in a professionally made PDF packet to be received by participants after the class. NOTE: The instructor’s recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun! Note: One registration fee for this online virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home ONLY. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. If friends, adult children, or extended family members are gathering for a fun night together, EACH household must register SEPARATELY even if participating together. Glass Mosaic Window or Table LampCreateCreate a custom, colorful table lamp or window in 2 fun evenings (with some homework)! Using precut glass, you will cover a 4”x 9” or 8” x 8” lamp or 20”x25” four pane window. Stencils are available or use your creativity to make a beautiful work of art. The first night is dedicated to working on your project, having fun, and discovering your creative side. During the second night, you will grout and learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources, other types of mosaics.
