Attendance is required to receive your certificate. Bring your driver's license with you to class. The instructor is certified through the MN Safety Council. This class is for both new and returning students. Online classes will take place on Zoom or Microsoft Teams. You will need to pick up your materials at the Community Ed office at 17340 County Rd 6, Plymouth, MN 55447 a few days prior to class (wait to pick up until you are notified). Early Childhood Screening - September 2026Early Childhood ScreeningWayzata Public Schools provides free early childhood screening for all 3- to 5-year-olds living in our school district. Identifying any health or developmental concerns early allows us to connect you and your family with district and community resources who, if needed, can provide earlier intervention services and learning opportunities for your child. The screening assessment is free and is required by the State of Minnesota before a child can begin kindergarten. Families who participate in an Early Childhood Screening visit will gain valuable insights about important milestones in their child’s growth and development. The screening visit is structured to include fun, age-appropriate activities that assess multiple areas of your child’s health and development, including: Social and emotional development Fine and gross motor ability Cognitive development Speech, language and articulation Vision, hearing and physical growth Health and immunization history Parents/guardians accompany their child through the approximate hour-long visit. After completing the screening activities, our early childhood specialists will share information about your child’s growth, development, and learning. Please note: There are two steps to register. Face YogaWellnessThere are over 30 individual muscles on each side of your face, all of which can be strengthened and toned, just like arm or leg muscles. Facial exercises can take years off your appearance by reducing frown and forehead lines, reducing ‘puppet mouth’ lines, lifting and firming neckline, making upper and lower cheeks fuller, reduce puffiness and sagging around eyes, improve circulation and nutrient flow into cells and improve lymph circulation. Learn simple exercises that will rejuvenate your face. You will need a regular teaspoon for a few of the exercises and a little of your favorite facial moisturizer. Fall Clay Target ProgramSports and FitnessContact Coach Scott Fahlstrom if this is the first time your student is registering for Middle School Trap at 612-403-8875 or scott.fahlstrom@gmail.com The Fall Clay Target Program is a partnership with Wayzata Public Schools Community Ed and the Plymouth Gun Club. Students shoot trap one day per week for six weeks on Tuesdays, September 15 - October 20. These are coached practice rounds with no competitions. Experienced coaches work closely with each student athlete to ensure proper technique, safety, and skill building. This skill building program is a great way for youth to prepare for success in the high school clay target program. Each student must own their own 12 gauge firearm. The coach can assist families in choosing the right gun for their student. DNR Hunter Safety Certification is required prior to the first practice. Prior to registering, contact Coach Scott Fahlstrom for more details. Squad times: 4:45, 5:15, 5:45, 6:15 p.m. All target and ammo costs are included.
