DASH Sports Summer Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: sprinting, throwing (javelin and shot put), relay running, long jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. All players will be timed/tested on the first and last day. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic clothing/shoes.

Introducing young athletes to a sport rich in tradition and history, Skyhawks Track & Field combines technical technique development with safety and a major focus on fun. Athletes will learn several Olympic-style events such as the 50m Dash, 100m Dash, 4X1 Relay, Long Jump, Standing Broad Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discus. Each athlete will get their times and throws recorded each day so they can track their improvement throughout the program. We teach sport-specific fundamentals along with footspeed, jumping, flexibility, range of motion, coordination, endurance, and self-esteem.

By the final day, teams test each other with original escape rooms full of clever traps, twists, and brain-bending puzzles. Adventure and engineering collide - all in one classroom!

DASH Sports Summer Ultimate Games camp provides participants with a fun experience learning and playing your favorite physical education games! Games will include: Capture the Flag, Kickball, Tag games, Ultimate Frisbee/Football, Soccer, Sharks and Minnows, and more! Participants will learn teamwork, and values such as respect, hustle, and pride, all in a fun environment. Campers should bring a snack, water bottle, and wear sunscreen. Calling all young adventurers with a passion for storytelling and creativity! This camp is specially designed for kids eager to dive into the exciting world of YouTube content creation. Students will learn simple tricks used by pro filmmakers to plan and record videos such as "Top 10" or "Favorite List" projects. They'll practice editing by adding transitions, soundtracks, and effects to make their videos shine. At the end, students will share they finished video. Students should have basic reading skills and be comfortable using a computer. Bring a USB drive (at least 8GB)on the last day to save your project.

You might be surprised by the colorful history that Wayzata enjoys, going way back to 1854 (four years before Minnesota became a state!). Wayzata played a key part in the explosion of boats and hotels that took place on Lake Minnetonka in the late 1800s. For many years, boats met passengers at the foot of Broadway Avenue and took them to various destinations around the lake. As this happened, the town of Wayzata began to grow, and there are many wonderful stories about the early pioneers who built homes and businesses along Lake Street. Come walk on a guided tour of what was once seven short blocks on Lake Street in the late 1880s and into the 20 th century. Learn about these historic buildings and the entrepreneurs who built them. Hosted by members of the Lake Minnetonka Historical Society, the tour will start at the Wayzata Depot (402 East Lake St.). Close to a dozen sites will be highlighted for their prominence in Wayzata history. Wear comfortable walking shoes! Please arrive in Wayzata at least 15 minutes before the start time to find parking. The closest lot is on the north side of Lake St. just a half block west of the Depot. There is a sign that says Public Parking. Upon registration, your contact information will be shared with the Lake Minnetonka Historical Society for the sole purpose of receiving a reminder communication a few days before your walk.
