Decluttering at Any Age: Organizing for Every Stage of Life

I’m Valerie Ruha, owner of Very Organized by Valerie, and I help people create homes that feel calmer, more functional, and easier to live in. I am the current President of the Minnesota Chapter of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing), have a certificate in Residential Organizing, and was recently recognized as Organizer of the Year.

My work is rooted in helping clients create organizing systems that fit the way they actually live, whether they’re managing a busy household, navigating a life transition, or simply ready for a home that functions better. I also have experience supporting clients with ADHD and chronic disorganization, and I specialize in book and home library organization.

My love of organizing started early. As a child, I was the one happily reorganizing my closet for fun and helping friends and family make sense of their spaces. That instinct stayed with me through adulthood and eventually became the foundation for the work I do today.

Now, I bring that lifelong passion to every project, helping clients create spaces that work for them, with practical systems, thoughtful support, and a no-judgment approach. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader, a DIY enthusiast, and happiest spending time with family, friends, and my golden retriever.
